David is an experienced photographer covering the Top of the South, North Canterbury and Christchurch in New Zealands South Island. He is focused on property photography, and has completed over 1600 assignments in the region. Not just limited to residential property, many of those shoots have been for accommodation, rental, businesses, commercial and tourism ventures.
Always liked taking photos of architecture, buildings and property, finding angles that others haven't and which showcase a location even more. I often times hear back "wow - this looks such a great home - now remind me why we are moving!"
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
Too many to mention......experience is what makes them special. A great story hear illustrates the experience factor well.
There is an old story that goes something like this: A man calls a plumber to his home to solve a problem with one of his pipes. The plumber looks around and listens for about 10 minutes, and then he grabs a pipe wrench and hits a pipe three or four times in the same place. The problem is quickly solved. The plumber then hands the man his bill, and the man is shocked to see that the invoice is for $200. The man objects, “How on earth can you charge $200 for simply banging on a pipe three or four times with a pipe wrench? I demand that you clarify this bill.” The plumber takes the invoice from the man, recalculates it, and hands it back. The invoice now reads:
Item one: Hitting the pipe with a pipe wrench–$2.00 Item two: Knowing to hit the pipe with the pipe wrench–$99 Item three: Knowing where and how to hit it–$99.

Being used for year after year by the same real estate sales folk is my best recognition
A fun fact about this photographer
When I was 4 I slipped out of bed and waked 1200m to my Dads work, crossing a 4 lane road, stopping traffic with hand stop signals. Dad got the shock of his life to see me pop up over his desk and Im pretty sure Mum had an equal one when Dad phoned her and asked where I was....she discovered me not in the bedroom, but better once Dad told her I was with him.
