More about Diego D....
What do you love about your job?
What I love most about my job is the connection photography creates — with places, people, emotions, and colors. Every assignment is an opportunity to immerse myself in a new environment, to observe closely, and to capture the details that make each story unique. That connection is what inspires me and keeps my work alive.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I’ve mainly done these types of shoots:
• Portraits
• Travel photography
• Documenting public events
• Political campaigns
• Commercial and marketing photography
What makes them special is that I always try to capture the unique essence of the moment or person, beyond just the technical side. In portraits, I focus on connection and emotion; in travel, on telling a visual story of the place; in events and campaigns, on conveying the message and energy of the context; and in commercial shoots, on highlighting the product or brand creatively and attractively.
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
My greatest professional satisfaction as a photographer was documenting a trip of key figures from Argentine human rights organizations to the Islas Malvinas.
A fun fact about this photographer
A fun fact about me is that I’ve had a film camera since I was a kid, and that early love for capturing images sparked my passion for photography, which I later turned into my career.
