More about Domenico F....
What do you love about your job?
What I love most about my job is the light. Light is my guide: it’s the beginning of everything beautiful. It shapes, reveals and inspires. It’s never the same twice: it grows, transforms and surprises me in new, vibrant and sparkling ways every time. Through light, I discover endless possibilities to tell stories, to evolve and to connect with people and the entire world. It’s this constant dance with light that makes photography feel alive and makes me feel alive within it.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I enjoy portrait, architecture and food photography the most — each for deeply meaningful reasons.
A portrait is never just an aesthetic description of the human shell; it’s always a journey of discovery of the self and of the world around us. Every face holds a story and I love capturing the subtle truths that emerge in silence and trust.
Architecture fascinates me because it’s not just a shelter for bodies, but a vessel for the soul. Every structure reflects intention, emotion and culture: it's a physical dialogue between space and spirit.
Food, according to me, is pure expression. It tells stories of tradition, reimagined through the love of those who cook with joy and harmony, blending flavors and aromas like a symphony. Photographing food is like capturing a moment of shared warmth, a real celebration of life through the senses.
Each of these genres allows me to connect with deeper layers of meaning, and that’s what makes them so fulfilling.
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
The greatest recognition I’ve received — the medal I’m most proud of — is the one that has yet to arrive. It’s found in the smile of a person who sees themselves with new wisdom, in the dish of a passionate chef who pours love into every flavor and in the story of a home that holds memories and treasured moments. These are the true honors that keep me inspired every day.
A fun fact about this photographer
I believe that having a life mission is one of the greatest gifts we can receive. When your inner fire burns — not to consume, but to guide — you don’t need rituals to remember who you are. That quiet, steady flame is enough. It keeps me inspired, grounded and always ready to create.
