I've loved shooting video since I was in middle school. Every spare moment I was filming my friends jumping BMX bikes in the back yard and riding dirtbikes in the mountains here in Southern Oregon. Years before YouTube was ever created, I was making short films on my now vintage i-Mac. Fast forward 20 years and here we are! A backyard hobby/senior project transformed into what I love to do! To top it off, I have the woman of my dreams constantly inspiring, motivating and helping me along the way. I couldn't be happier with this opportunity to constantly create amazing content!
It's most satisfying to capture an image or video of something in a way that is different from all of the other ways someone else would. Making an ordinary image stand out with no Photoshop or trickery, just knowing how to use the camera.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
We have done all types of photo shoots. The family sessions where everyone is genuinely and uncontrollably laughing are the best! It makes for memorable photos.
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
I have a couple of videos that has gone viral. A bicycle jump off of a ramp into a lake has gotten over 1.2 million views with appearances of it on MTV's Ridiculousness and Good Morning America. Also, drone video/photos of our local town after a record setting snow storm was shared globally and featured on ABC's World News Tonight.
A fun fact about this photographer
I can do a back-flip on a bicycle and a motorcycle and have been riding anything with two wheels since I was 5 years old.
