What do you love about your job?
I love meeting people, getting to know them, helping them relax and tell me what sort of image they want me to capture, then the moment when I show them their images and they light up with joy. That look on their face is something I really love.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
Events, candid shoots, product, art, food, portraits, family photos, groups, budoir. It's a long list.
A lovely woman came to me asking for photos for her 70th birthday invitations. We talked for a while, and she told me she loves to dance. I arranged to shoot in a dance hall before anyone else arrived, and we did the shoot of her getting ready to dance. When he daughters saw the photos, they said she looked like a supermodel.
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
I have been published in a few magazines, won a few local photo challenges. Entering photo competitions is not really my thing. If my clients love my work, if a bride is bubbling happy when I reveal her photos, that is reward enough for me.
A fun fact about this photographer
I race sailboats. Locally mostly here in the local bay, but I have done several 24-48 hour races out on the ocean.
