More about Eric F....

What do you love about your job?

Their are so many components to photography that I enjoy but the one I love the most is seeing the enjoyment a picture brings to someone. Whether the subject is an animal, a sunset or landscape, people, or a city scene - seeing an individual's reaction to my photographs and hearing how that image impacts them is very rewarding.

What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?

This is the second year that I have been the lead photographer for our local high school's marching band. Having access to the stands and field allows me the opportunity to capture not only the students but also the chaperones and volunteers in a more relaxed and natural state. I strive each and every week to use my photographs as a way to showcase the many hours of hard work and dedication that these young men and women put in. You can "hear" the excitement in a parent's comments when they see their child's picture pop up on social media that week!

Several months ago I did a product shoot for a relatively new business. The owner gave me creative liberty to come up with something different to help showcase their product. For most of the shoot a lightbox was the ideal solution that delivered the expected outcome. But their building is very unique with a warm and inviting feel to it . I knew we had to incorporate the two together. By setting up product in key areas throughout the building I was able to provide them with images that represented multiple aspects of their business, not just the product they produce.

Awards, honors, and recognitions received

While I have not received any specific rewards, many of my photographs of our local high school's marching band were utilized in the school's 2018-2019 yearbook.

A fun fact about this photographer

I enjoy riding my motorcycle through the countryside and backroads of Alabama on the weekends in search of new locations for that once in a lifetime shot.
