I have been a photographer for 35 years and own a commercial photography business since 1999. I am also a military photographer with over 34 years (9 years of active duty and 25 reserves) experience. I capture all aspects of lifestyle photography, from executive portraits, new ad work, editorial, and even 3-4 weddings a year. I do a lot of personal family work during the holiday season.
I love the idea of creating a moment, one that brings into harmony the subject and their surroundings, capturing and holding the interest of the viewer.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
One of the most rewarding shoots is when I am able to use a combination of existing light, like the sun, and artificial light seamlessly, creating a beautiful look that one would never have seen or imagined. This is what showcases the difference between a professional photographer and one that is a novice or a hobbyist.
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
As an advertising and editorial lifestyle photographer, both military and commercially, I have been published in numerous publications. On occasion, I have been asked by clients to teach photography and given lectures on my experiences.
