More about George M....
What do you love about your job?
I tend to approach photography as an exercise in a process of elimination. I keep the necessary elements while eliminating the extraneous. I love that process, it's almost like detective work. You know when it's right. When the composition and the lighting comes together to match your vision, it's very satisfying. It's an affirmation that you can say "yes, this is right, this is good."
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I recently had a car shoot for a client that was selling his vintage auto at auction. I searched all over town for a good location as well as looking at a lot of other's work that I liked. I settled on a natural background as it wasn't a story about setting or in any way editorial. I found just the right spot with trees in the background and parked the car on green grass. It looked great so all I had to do was get good exposures and the client was very happy.
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
I don't think I've competed since I won a State Fair prize for Best of Show.
I do feel good about getting paid for a job though knowing that I produced good photos and that the client was happy.
A fun fact about this photographer
