More about Haley S....
What do you love about your job?
My favorite part about my job is the people that I have met along the way. I have always found that building relationships with clients makes them more comfortable in front of the camera, but I never knew how much of an impact they would have on me. Some of the best relationships I have in my life are with my former clients or colleagues in the industry.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I have done many event marketing shoots in the past. My most recent was a children's 5k for Enduring Hearts, in which the client wanted on-brand candid photos for their website. I knew from experience the most important thing to do when photographing children is to make them laugh, so I challenged them to a high-five and silly face contest. A child's laugh is contagious, so tapping into their personalities early on allowed me to capture the perfect photos for my client.
I have also done several portrait photoshoots for headshots and family photos. I always make sure to connect with my clients beforehand to learn about them and prepare for the shoot. In one instance, I scouted a model and after meeting with him discovered his favorite music artist. I brought a speaker to the photo studio for the shoot and played his music to make him more comfortable and achieve the desired results.

A fun fact about this photographer
I played soccer for 13 years and taught myself guitar and piano. I always saw photographers on the sidelines of my soccer games, and that is how I got started into photography.
