More about Ion S....
What do you love about your job?
For me, photography is freedom. The freedom to create, to explore, and to express. With every flight, I see new skies, new faces, new lights — and my camera is always with me. It’s more than a job; it’s the way I connect with the world while constantly moving through it.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
One of the most meaningful projects I’ve worked on was a film I created during my travels through India. The journey took me across vibrant cities, remote villages, and sacred spaces — and I focused especially on capturing portraits of the people I met. From chai vendors and street musicians to monks and market vendors, every face told a story. The film is more than a travelogue; it’s a visual diary of connection, emotion, and shared humanity. Through these portraits, I aimed to reflect the beauty, contrast, and spirit of India’s people.
