I am an artist with a passion for photography. The passion isn't so much for the technicalities of photography itself, but for the moment that is captured in powerful ways that elicit in the viewer a gamut of emotions, inspirations, memories, and motivation to act. Photography is an art form and an outlet for my expression. I am a motivated hand's-on self-learner and most of my training has come through experience, collaboration with others, and online tutorials and video classes.
I never think about photography assignments as a job. While it can be a lot of work, it is a satisfying and fulfilling passion. Photography is my creative outlet. With camera in hand, I'm ever eager for the challenge of capturing the moment; moments that are full of emotion, inspiration, and memories whether I'm in the midst of beautiful architecture, wildlife, nature, or people.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
In real estate shoots I do my best to make sure the agent and sellers have my checklist for ways to prepare their home for the shoot. Additionally, I take the time to ensure the shoot is scheduled for the best lighting of the day and that the weather will allow for optimum shooting. While at the shoot, special attention is given to the placement of items and furniture. Composition is framed in a way to capture the personality and character of the living space. I will often take extra time to help the home owner with the rooms finishing touches before shooting.
