More about Jenelle S....
What do you love about your job?
When I first picked up a DSLR I instantly fell in love with the idea of being able to physically capture a moment in time, to transport someone to another place, another era, another state of understanding. I have since completed a Bachelor of Journalism, specialising in Photojournalism, which I have put to use via writing feature articles, news stories, blogs, copywriting, and of course, photographing everything I can possibly aim my camera at.
My goal is to provide a photography experience that evokes emotion every time my images are viewed, and to write content that either evokes critical thought and encourages further learning, or at least raises a solid chuckle on the opposite end of the spectrum.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I have done a plethora of different shoots, from shooting products in my studio, to circus event performances, to newborns, to newly constructed skyscrapers, to newly constructed cappuccinos - and every single one has featured my stoic sense of humour. My attitude in life is that you're not living if you're not laughing! I am a problem-solver by nature, and this attitude of laughter being an essential component of life means a tornado could touch down during an umbrella shoot and I will make do whilst making sure the client feels calm, at ease and most importantly: happy!
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
Whilst I've never entered any competitions for my photography, my work has been featured in multiple publications across Queensland and Australia.
A fun fact about this photographer
My secret superpower is the ability to reverse-parallel park first time, every time.
