Jera Reusser's experience as a photographer began in College while studying fine art. Working with film photography and understanding shape and light served well as the foundation for her artistic portraiture. From there she began capturing weddings and lifestyle shoots for clients throughout Columbus and the northeast Ohio Area, including new england states and southern California. She enjoys golden hour lighting and would skip out on any other hobby if it meant photographing a family in a beautiful sun-lit beam.
I love using my camera to tell a story. Visual storytelling with the use of artistic imagery everyone can understand and relate to. I think getting a beautiful image taken of you and showing it off to the world is a unique way to keep and share memories in the modern world.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I have done multiple weddings, engagements, family sessions and newborns, however shooting family reunion style shoots are my favorite. I believe I hold the knack at utilizing what props are available whether it be a family farm or home setting and incorporating the clients personality and natural elements such as lighting to wrap up a beautiful image on the evening of capturing. Gathering everyone around grandpa for a "Claude Monet" impressionistic styled hay bale shoot at twilight would be a unique example.

A fun fact about this photographer
I volunteer at my church to draw personal pictures of people at downtown events that share that God loves them and is a good storyteller and knows each personal story uniquely and still speaks today.
