After teaching photojournalism for two years, I decided to pursue my passion of photography full time. Being able to teach the basics and advanced concepts in photography allowed me to hone in on my skills and improve with each lesson given. I am entirely self-taught and that has allowed for a lot of learning through trial and error. I now love to photograph people and help them feel confident during their shoot.

What do you love about your job?

My favorite part of my job is seeing clients react to their photos and the comments they make about their confidence level once they see the final product. During shoots, I love helping people feel comfortable and in tune with their true selves while we explore how to best portray them photographically. It is such a rewarding experience to be part of someone's journey towards more self-love.

What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?

I've done portraits, events, weddings, and more. I make them special by having a quick call with the client before the shoot to ensure that I fully understand the vision they are trying to achieve, and ways in which I can put a creative spin on it so that they are satisfied with the results. Ultimately, I want their photos to feel like them.

A fun fact about this photographer

I was a teacher for five years before I started pursuing photography, and I have three dobermans that I love with all my heart!
