Joe started out in a photo dark room at Michigan Tech University, and has since traveled the world (looking through his camera lens). He has worked for numerous magazines, newspapers, and commercial clients around the world. He is passionate about capturing genuine moments in his images and takes this sincere attitude into his style of relaxed, candid event photography.
All of Joe's work is strictly on-location. He doesn't have a studio to maintain, which means he can keep his costs down for his clients. He specialize in events of all shapes and sizes, and is happy to come to you or your chosen venue. He also has significant experience photographing facilities, venues, food & beveridge items, and other on-location products.
I am passionate about capturing genuine moments. I love it when I'm able to create an image that summarizes a the feeling of a place and time, and not just the aesthetic.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I have been doing a lot of food shoots lately. I always use natural light, which can be challenging, but is worth it because it makes the food look it's best. I also enjoy using props to enhance the authenticity of the setting, or to bring out the best colors in the food.

A fun fact about this photographer
I worked as an environmental engineer for 10 years, whilst honing my photography skills. Now, I'm a full-time brewer (that's right, I make beer) and I also find plenty of time to follow my lifelong passion in photography.
