More about John G....

What do you love about your job?

I have had the great fortune of being in business for over 2 decades and every day is a different story. My career has allowed me to share experiences with people and go places I never imagined.

What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?

The types of shoots I’ve done professionally range from food and drink, models and fashion, to studio product photography. I make them special from the 2 decades of experience I bring to the table.

Awards, honors, and recognitions received

In high school, I was a semi-finalist in State for B&W photography in 1988. However, the biggest honor came in 2002, when the city of Chicago awarded creative director Rob Janoff and myself for our PSA on the importance of voting.

A fun fact about this photographer

When I was growing up in the ’90s, not only was I a bike messenger in downtown Chicago delivering packages to skyscrapers, but I was also in an independent rock band and played in front of a crowd of more than 3000 people.
