What do you love about your job?

I love helping people. I enjoy getting to offer solutions and calm people down when they are stressed about a shoot. I also am a nerd about cameras, lenses, and gear. I love when I find beautiful quirks that show up unexpectedly in images.

What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?

I've done lots of real estate photography for AirBnB/VRBO properties, done engagement shoots, shot several short films, small commercials, corporate video, camera operated some live sports, and worked as a crew member on several feature films in Arkansas. I think each type of shoot offers a lot of variety. Each day is something new and I love finding out what that thing will be. From being in charge of visualizing and capturing a story or moment for people to working in a team and helping build a larger picture with skilled crew.

Awards, honors, and recognitions received

I haven't received any awards for photography, but I've made a couple short films that made it into film festivals. One was a short documentary about a local African tea shop that was started by a Nigerian man wanting to share his culture and food with people.

A fun fact about this photographer

I studied illustration and film in college. I also have studied pottery and worked at a pottery shop for a summer.
