Jordan Lewis began training in a multimedia academy in high school where he learned the basics of photography. Throughout the years, he would constantly be working with photos and videos, becoming well versed in the tools of the trade including lighting, camera hardware and editing software. After highschool, he began to hone his skills further by picking up professional photo shoots for clients. From there, he decided to take his craft to new heights and start his own photography/apparel company, Solid Gold Co.
I love that I get to do something that makes everyone involved happy. I get to try out new concepts for my own artistic visions while at the same time making my clients look good. Getting paid to do what you love is the dream but the smile on someones face when they see themselves looking BOMB is priceless.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I've done many different types of shoots including portraits, headshots, studio shoots, weddings, maternity shoots, quinceneras, cotillions, corporate events and music videos. I always try to make them special by building a friendly business relationship with clients and adding my own flavor of editing to my photos.
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
I've had my work published in the Photographer's Forum "Best of College and High School Photography" book. I've also won a San Leandro High School "Best Photo" award at the 2014 Slammy Awards.
