Kevin Burzynski is a fashion and fine art photographer as well as visual artist currently based in Buffalo New York. Burzynski studied film and photography at SUNY Fredonia and graduated in 2013. He has lived in New York City and Los Angeles in the past, where he shot for several clients and publications. Burzynski often shoots 35mm film and has a unique, dreamlike style with a great sense of how to direct models and a great color palette.
I love the immediacy and independence of shooting photos. I originally wanted to be a film director but realized that I am a purely visual person and just wanted to create beautiful images. I love being able to shoot in new places and with new models. It is fun being able to collaborate but still have complete creative control at the end of the day.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I recently shot for the New Zealand-based Vintage Boutique Magic Hollow and that was fun because we were on a very tight time schedule and so we had to drive around Los Angeles and find locations on the fly. It was fun to have to hunt on the spot for locations and improvise with my eye, as opposed to waiting on the client to approve!
