More about Kip S....
What do you love about your job?
The camera is a vehicle to adventure. It opens doors and breaks down walls. Some of the most interesting people I've ever met came into my life because of a camera. Who wouldn't want to ride that wave?
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I've shot corporate headshots, families, fashion, food and lifestyle. Regardless of the type of shoot, developing a rapport with the subject(s) is the most important thing. Generally speaking this isn't too difficult given a genuine interest in what makes them unique.
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
My work hangs in multiple fine dining restaurants and I won multiple awards while at the West Yellowstone News.
A fun fact about this photographer
My scariest moment: While looking for wolves in Yellowstone National Park I came over a small rise to find myself face to face with a small herd of about three dozen bison. I was a sitting duck, and had they decided I was a threat, I would've been Swiss cheese. There is little that rivals the raw and entirely uncompromising forces of nature.
