Lexi is a food and portrait photographer with well over 200 shoots in the books. She specializes in making your food look extra yummy. She uses both natural light and artificial light depending on the situation and the desired aesthetic. She wants to help make your product or food shine with styling that's not too intentional but still looks polished. She took courses with the New York Institute of Photography and the International Center of Photography (NYC) and has continued to expand her base of photographic and artistic knowledge.
I love being able to capture still items and getting the perfect balance of color and composition that almost creates an internal melody when it's just right.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I have done many food shoots at restaurants. For those, I would utilize natural light to highlight the best parts of the meal or food item. I like to add props to make the photo appetizing and realistic.
I've photography beauty products for an entrepreneur who started her own line of hair products. She gave me free reign to create what I wanted and I loved going with my artistic drive and using color to make her product shine. I even took some of the bottles to a beach to show them off in bright summer light with natural ambiance, because her line was mainly naturally derived.
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
No specific awards or honors yet, aside from happy clients and a 5 star average rating on the site I used previously to do my food photography work.
A fun fact about this photographer
Not that I have a lot of time for it, but I find 'arts and crafts' to be very therapeutic and a great creative outlet.
