What do you love about your job?
I am a very social and artistic person who loves to travel and meet new people. Photography fits well with my personality and gifts. In addition, I love capturing amazing images and editing each photo to perfection.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I have done almost everything from family photos to real estate to commercial photography for gas stations. I think that real estate is special when simple things are recommended, such as decluttering, removing distracting objects, such as Kleenex boxes, and shooting at pleasing angles. Portraits can easily be made special by letting the person know that they look great and are doing great! I always try to help each person know that they are good enough and not to worry about getting a bad photo. We can always reshoot until they like what they see. I do find, however, that cracking a joke or two usually breaks the ice and allows people to let their guard down long enough to get a good photo.
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
I have been featured in the business section of the Oklahoman for photographing a local historic building in Oklahoma City. In addition, my photos have been published a few times in the Price Edwards Retail Market Surveys.
A fun fact about this photographer
I am a sketch artist, beginning oil painter who also happens to have a science degree. I enjoy using all of these gifts to teach my children.
