I studied photography at UNAM and started out shooting film, which I still love for the intention and feel it brings to my work. That background really shaped how I see light, texture, and moments.

I’ve had the chance to shoot in places like New York, Germany, and the UK, working with different people and environments along the way.

I also teach photography, both online and in person, and really enjoy helping others feel more confident behind the camera.

More about Madeline H....

What do you love about your job?

What I love most is how flexible photography is, I can capture almost anything, anytime, anywhere. It gives me the freedom to explore, observe, and create without limits.

I also love that through images you can express something without words and turn everyday moments into something meaningful. It never really feels like work to me, more like a way of seeing and experiencing the world.

What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?

During my studies, I worked on a wide range of shoots, including sports, studio work, portraits, and film photography. Each one taught me something different, but portrait sessions have always stood out to me. That’s where I feel I can really make a difference—by helping people feel comfortable, seen, and confident in front of the camera. I naturally connect with others, so I like to talk with them, create a relaxed environment, and bring out genuine expressions. For me, that human connection is what makes a shoot truly special.

Awards, honors, and recognitions received

I have a degree in Photography from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM).

A fun fact about this photographer

I once traveled as a backpacker and supported my trips by doing portrait photography along the way. It pushed me to adapt quickly, connect with new people, and shoot in all kinds of environments.
