More about Mark H....
What do you love about your job?
Helping customers receive the great photos they want and capture important memories still drives me as a photographer till this day. Cell phones have come far, but when I deliver a product photo or portrait and the customer is happy, then I’m happy.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I’ve done portraits of families, couples, pets, and babies. I try to capture them looking relaxed but happy. With sporting events, I strive to capture the pivotal moments, the action frozen in time, or the thrill of a score. For horse competition, I capture the moment the horse and rider become one as a team, and show the bond of trust they share on the field. For products, I want every photo to look like it could be used in a prime time commercial.
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
I’ve been invited two years in a row to photograph equestrian events at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington and for the Masterson Equestian Trust.
A fun fact about this photographer
I have many hobbies besides photography, including writing, art, and singing and trying to play the guitar and piano. I’ve helped foster and rescue dogs and cats for 15 years.
