My names Maymunah, born and raised in NJ, I’m a POC, Muslim, & vividly driven photographer. I’ve been practicing photography overall for 8-9yrs; filmmaking for 6-7, I have a BFA in filmmaking, and did a 2yrs in costume design. I’m a very creatively driven person, I love trying new foods, city exploring & travel photography. Books are my 2nd passion followed by being A professional binger.

What do you love about your job?

The challenges, the people I meet, the experiences I partake in, the memories I get to create. But, mostly I love that this is something others appreciate as an art and in turn allow me to share with them.

What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?

I’ve done Weddings, Graduations, Bridal Showers, Birthdays, Dance Showcases, Travel Photography, Personal Shoots, Fashion etc.

Easiest and most efficient way to make a shoot special is the transfer the model/models in their session to a different place via each shot. Make the moment feel magical and transcendent.

I’m a quad roller skater—-not inline skates, slowly building my fall cam so I can show it to my grandkids.
