What do you love about your job?
There are so many things that makes my job as a photographer worth every moment. I get to travel, meet new people, try out different strategies for my shoots and best of all when I get positive feedback and I'm appreciated for my work by my clients, because for me photography is about capturing a moment that will speak to whoever sees it. They will see the picture and visualize that moment in their head – they will play out the story in their head. And every time I learn a new trick and try it out for the first time, I get filled will joy when I see the final result. That motivates me to keep doing more and more.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I have done numerous wedding shoots where I had to deal with some nervous and stressed out Brides and Grooms and whenever I’m in a situation like that, I try to make them as comfortable as possible by telling them jokes. One of the wonders of being a photographer is creating a special connection with your clients. I think that’s important in any case because that builds trust between me and the client thus, it helps them feel comfortable when I take pictures. I also have done commercial shoots where I had to be really creative about the best possible way to execute the shoot. And that’s another thing I love about photography, it always challenges me and every time I feel challenged, I have to overcome that challenge.
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
I handful of my pictures were nominated as the “Signature Collection” in a popular stock website. Besides that, a video project I made with a friend was given special recognition due to the story of the video. It was about Bangladesh and our mother language, Bangla.
A fun fact about this photographer
I used to go to school for Mechanical Engineering. Even though my had a change of heart, my love for engineering is still there. Even now I'll find myself binge watching YouTube videos about physics and engineering. I am also good at painting. I love using watercolors, the texture and mixing colors with watercolor can be really fun. I have painting even before I started photography, I believe when I was 10. Maybe I should have been a painter instead? I also love to play games. I games are literally my escape from this world, beside photography of course.
