Micah has been holding a camera in his hands for since he was a child making home movies with his friends in the street. He graduated with a degree in Visual Anthropology where he made a few documentaries and went on to work in the SF Bay Area film industry. Micah recently left his full time as a photographer and videographer for a marketing group so he could have more time photographing as an independent contractor. Beyond cameras, Micah has played in several indie rock bands and is an avid ukulele player. He keeps his mind and body in shape by practicing Brazilian jiu-jitsu at the Gracie Barra school in Oro Valley.
I love taking amazing photos that I can share out and be proud of. Someday, I'd love to have gallery showing of my work. Someday.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I have shot sporting events, weddings, real estate, construction, parties at night and more. Each event requires it's own unique technique to bring out the best shot. When shooting sports, its important to have a very fast shutter, for weddings, you must have a flash, for real estate you'll need a tripod. I make my photo sessions special by bringing the right tools for the job and an ambitious attitude.
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
I was once elected Director of the Parks and Rec in Boulder Creek California. I had the honor of bringing some fun ideas to town such as the creation of a tool lending library.
