More about Michael F....
What do you love about your job?
While photography is not my full-time job, I do love the creative aspects of it, the technical side of things, and most of all the time spent traveling to new places, meeting new people, and making clients happy. My "day job" is actually as a commercial real estate professional, so many of the shoots that have given me the real estate experience that I have were for extremely high-profile real estate transactions with purchase prices often exceeding $100 million.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I have done many types of shoots. Again, mostly experienced in real estate (as paid shoots), with some long-ago experience in nightlife photography (also paid, and I additionally served as that company's director of photography). Otherwise, I have helped friends and colleague's with a headshot here or there, and of course am always shooting for myself when I travel.
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
No official awards or honors but as I said when I was shooting nightlife photography in Atlanta I was promoted to Director of Photography so I oversaw the hiring/firing of new photographers, scheduling, and overall photo critiquing of staff of photographers shooting 20-30+ events every week. And in the real estate side of shooting, my company as mentioned in questions above handles transactions of large portfolios of properties in the hundreds of millions of dollars, and I am often the one in charge of either shooting those properties myself or at least hiring, coordinating, and processing the photographs of outsourced professionals all over the US.
A fun fact about this photographer
I can be found at the gym lifting weights about every morning, but also at the yoga studio stretching and sweating it all out several nights a week.
