What do you love about your job?

I love telling stories with a photo. They say a "Picture is Worth a Thousand Words" and I find that to be very true. Photography allows me to capture special moments and events in people's lives where they want to share it with others. It can be very satisfying to see the smile on the face of a client when they view their images, especially those that never think they can look good in a photo.

What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?

I have done many high volume events such as graduations, running races and headshots in university settings. I do prefer to have time to interact with and gain an understanding of a client to produce an image as individual as they are. It has been very satisfying where I can give back to the community in a volunteer photography role to Fire Department fund raising events to black tie events with the USO of Indiana.

Awards, honors, and recognitions received

The best reward I can receive is a compliment from a client that they are pleased with their images and that the session was enjoyable. I am a member of Professional Photographers of America (PPA), a national organization supporting professional photographers in all genres.

A fun fact about this photographer

I attend a large photography convention in St Louis each year to provide continuing photography education but this is balanced as a Star Trek fan by attending a Star Trek convention in Las Vegas each year.
