More about Nephi L....
What do you love about your job?
What I love most about my job is how fun it is—every shoot is a new adventure! I get to meet awesome people, explore different locations, and capture all kinds of moments, from big celebrations to goofy, candid laughs. There's a creative energy in photography that never gets old, and I genuinely enjoy making people feel comfortable and confident while we’re shooting. It’s exciting, lighthearted, and meaningful all at once—and getting to call that my job is something I’m super grateful for. Most of all, its a great opportunity for me to do something fun with my fiancée, as she has become my trusty assistant!
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I’ve done a wide range of shoots, including individual and family portraits, senior sessions, proms, church and community events, youth camps, and even a few spontaneous sessions with friends just for fun. What makes each shoot special isn’t just the setting—it’s the people and the experience we create together.
For portraits, I focus on helping people feel relaxed and confident so their real personality can shine through. At events, I stay in the background to capture genuine, candid moments while making sure I don’t miss the key highlights. During youth camps or big gatherings, I aim to document the energy and emotion of the group, making sure everyone gets included.

A fun fact about this photographer
A fun fact about me is that I was a full-time missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. During my mission, I had the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life, which helped me build meaningful connections that I still cherish today. I made close friends along the way, learned to understand and appreciate different perspectives, and developed interpersonal skills that have shaped the way I interact with others in both my personal and professional life. It was an experience that not only broadened my horizons but also taught me the value of service, patience, and meaningful relationships—principles that I carry with me in my photography work as I connect with clients and capture their most important moments.
