More about Norman H....
What do you love about your job?
I love being a memory-maker. It is an honour for me to be able to create vignettes of people's lives and to be able to help them remember beautiful times past. My clients are the best story-tellers there is, I'm just here to facilitate by capturing moments that will help them tell their own unique stories.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
In the past, I've shot portraits, engagements and weddings. For portraits and engagements, I like engaging and creating activities with my clients so that it does not feel like a shoot and they get to be themselves. For weddings, I reckon the day can be stressful, or that it can feel like there is no time to absorb the day. Whenever possible, I carve out time during the allotted photoshoot time for the couple to be away from everyone, to relax and exchange whispers to each other while I step away to allow for that intimate moment to materialize. On top of making for fantastic candid pictures, and my couples are super appreciative of the quiet time.
A fun fact about this photographer
I can speak French because I'm originally from Montreal, Canada. I went to engineering school instead of pursuing a degree in the arts.
