Simi Vijay is an editorial, portrait, wedding and documentary photographer based in New York. He is an alumnus of the International Center of Photography, New York. He has worked on several photo-documentary and video documentary projects for different International Organizations like UNICEF, UNFPA, UNHCR, EU-ECES, Wateraid, Marie stopes, etc
My photo-documentary work is centered around culture, social issues, and identity. I enjoy documenting the moments and interacting with the subjects, knowing more about them and what's dear to them, learning about life and the realities around me.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I enjoy taking beautiful portraits of women, to create an image that represents there beauty and character and make them smile when they see these images, as it serves as a reminder of a time in their life.
