More about Paul S....
What do you love about your job?
This one is easy...it's the people I photograph, in over 20 plus years of photography, they are all different. I have to bring out that magical expression, that glint in the eye, that smile or characteristic everyone has. It's hidden in many but it's there.
Finding it and seeing a clients reaction when they see their photograph for the first time and we both know 'that one is special'
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I've done so many, High School seniors, Lifestyle / Magazine style shoots, portraits, engagements and weddings, so many...but the key ingredient is being able to connect with my client.
I have an instant connection with people, maintaining my English accent (I grew up in the UK) helps bridge so many 'first five minutes of a conversation'. It's worked for so many years, so I won't lose it just yet. I have a sharp wit and good sense of humor which helps calm so many nerves when a camera lens is pointing at them. I'm personable and fun to be around.
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
I published a book raising money for Autism through photography. I have been working for Help-Portrait for over 9 years, taking photographs of people and families in need. It has been the most humbling thing I've ever been apart of.
A fun fact about this photographer
I love finding different way to photograph my dog (who fails to sit still for more than a nano second). I determined to get that one Super Star Shot that will see him up in lights on a billboard...one day!
