Paul is a self taught (mostly) photography junkie. He didn't pick up a camera till he was in his mid 30's and he's been making up ground ever since. He learned the skills of photography from tons of reading, workshops, videos, and of course, hours and hours of taking photos and editing
There are two things that immediately come to mind when asked what I love about my job:
#1. I still get excited every time I pick up a camera and I get paid to do it.
2# Being able to capture special moments in peoples lives and then hearing that they love the way the photos came out
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I do a range of single portraits, family portraits, engagement photos, events, and anniversaries. I always break the ice so to speak with whoever I'm photographing. There's a point when people's shoulders drop and they relax in front of the camera. That's when they start being more of themselves and you can get some really great pictures.
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
I've had pictures published in some local news publications
A fun fact about this photographer
I was a pizza delivery person in high school. It was before Maps was on every phone and I am terrible with directions. A lot of people were very unhappy
