More about Pietro G....
What do you love about your job?
What I love most about my job is the chance to connect with people and tell their stories through images. Every shoot is different, every subject brings something unique, and photography allows me to capture that essence in a way that feels both creative and meaningful. I also enjoy the mix of artistry and technique: shaping light, guiding a subject, and then refining everything in post-production. Above all, I love that my work keeps me learning and evolving every day.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
Over the years, I’ve worked on a wide range of shoots, from portraits and fashion to beauty, kids’ photography, and still life. What makes each project special is the way I approach it: with portraits, I focus on building trust and creating an authentic connection with the subject; in fashion and beauty, I pay close attention to light, skin, and detail to highlight style and character; with kids, I rely on patience and playfulness to capture spontaneity; and in still life, I use precision and control of light to transform everyday objects into something visually striking. For me, the key is always the same: treating every shoot as unique and giving it the care it deserves.
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
I was honored to receive the Ichnusa Award for Photography of Sardinia, recognizing creativity and excellence in capturing the region’s unique beauty. My work has also been published in Josm Magazine, showcasing my photography to a wider audience and connecting me with the international creative community.
A fun fact about this photographer
A fun fact about me is that I’m the creator of a board game for kids called “Banana Zero.” It’s a simple, playful game with a banana-shaped piece and a special die, and it’s as much about having fun as it is about creativity.
