What do you love about your job?

I love to create and capture images from various type of subjects. I enjoy learning new techniques in camera, with studio/flash lighting, and then post processing. In addition, I enjoy teaching these factors to fellow photographers.

What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?

I have previously photographed weddings for 15 years. I always made special efforts to make the Bride and Groom feel confident about my skills and services. Portraits have always been a major part of my services. I learned that the majority of people do not feel comfortable in front of the camera. Thus, I made extra effort to help ease those fears and tensions for anyone in front of my camera. I began photography pets (mainly dogs) 5 years ago. I am a big dog lover. I have developed certain techniques to put both the pet and owners at ease while I'm actually photographing them.

Awards, honors, and recognitions received

I have received many awards that range from older school years days, local photography clubs, and professional guilds. I have been published in some trade magazines and calendars. I have previously worked on projects for non-profit organization where my images have ended up on billboards.

A fun fact about this photographer

I am an Architect by day. I design large scale multifamily, apartment projects as my "day job" and still love it! I enjoy various outdoor activities like fishing, mountain biking, kayaking, camping, and hiking.
