More about Ricardo P....
What do you love about your job?
I love falling in love with a moment, an idea, a vision, or a product and giving it shape to portray its best light. Every photoshoot is a new story and challenges, capturing the moment's essence, even if it has taken planning and production. I love seeing clients happily surprised, engaged, and excited with their photos.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I have done corporate and actors' portraiture for their marketing assets, food for menus and websites, products and antiques for e-commerce sites, and interiors for real estate listings and interior designers.
When I make portraits, I love to make my subjects feel at ease, happy, and confident; I love to break the ice with a soft joke, improvise, and do "face yoga," which is funny; it is making all kinds of weird gestures to ease the face expression and relax the facial muscles. I love to hear about their stories, the picture of themselves they love the most, and why.
When I shoot still-life, I love showing the client the process, making them part of the shoot, and adding value to their product. It is vital for them to feel confident that these pictures will get the attention they are craving.
