More about Robert E....
What do you love about your job?
I retired from the corporate world in 2024. I want to do what excites me, while I'm still young enough to do it. I love to make a product look like a million dollars. I love to shoot food so you just want to taste it. And I love making a house look like you just need to live there. Growing up shooting film, rather than digital, you had to make your photo in the camera, not in post processing. I strive to get it right in the camera. And I strive to make the customer happy with my work.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I was a major magazine advertising photographer in my younger days, shooting large rooms scenes, and product photography with an 8x10 view camera. It was very precise, very technical, and you had to learn how to make a product sell with your shot.
When I was at AT&T, I actually built a studio in my home, and during the evening, after work, I'd shoot the products that I was managing, and use them for presentations, instructions for the teams, and digital services, and the AT&T Website. This was not a paid position, this was my using photography as a tool, to make my job easier. Over the years I got a reputation for taking great shots, and was asked by other teams for help. It really was exciting to see my photos used around the company.
A fun fact about this photographer
I received the AT&T Service Excellence Award, in 2019 which is one of the top Corporate Awards, and you have to be nominated for it by other employees. I was nominated for my project management, and for bringing my photography experience to my projects. I love working with people, and getting them to deliver an excellent customer experience. It was a great honor to be nominated and receive the award.
