More about robin g....

What do you love about your job?

Catching emotion through my lense is the most important part of my work, that is why I take the time to connect with my subjects to capture the best of them.

What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?

Food photography : I like to use different props that reflect the vibe of the restaurant and the dishes. I also bring different backdrops to highlight the dishes and fits with the colorspaces.

Real Estate Photography : I usually do a tour of the residence to find the best angles to better capture the space.
In addition to that I look for the perfect time of the day to enlightens the house.
Finally, I look for beautiful details that brings charm to the place.

Portrait : Every studio that I work with has different equipment and it's very important for me that I have the time to study it before my clients arrive and I can give them my full attention and time. Hence I can use the best light source and diffuser regarding the subject I am photographing.
I also make sure to make the customers feel comfortable, use the best poses to make them beautiful by chatting and laughing with them and putting on their favourite music.
I scope for interesting locations if clients are looking for outdoor portraits.
Finally, I choose my different locations regarding the mood expected from the client.

Wedding : I prepare the mood-board with the customer and have a free meeting beforehand to understand customer needs, eg. any cultural ceremonies or who is close family and should be captured.
Besides that I examine the wedding location days before to plan the timeline regarding the light of the hour.
Finally, I always have a list of shots to make sure nothing or no one is forgotten for their best day.

Travel photography : I prepare the trip weeks before and intensely study the map and the sun routes to have no surprises on site. I always come the day before at the shoot location to make sure everything is perfect. I sometimes wait days at the location in order to capture the perfect light to illuminate the best of the landscapes.
I look for special local events to show the real life of the inhabitants. I use a guide when I meet different cultures in order to fully understand their routines.
