I always tell people that photography sought me out. My father was a professional photographer when I was young and I'm pretty sure thats what originally caught my attention. I didn't get serious about the artform until 2011 when I moved to the U.S.A. at the time I was an ambitious 18 year old with what I thought was a solid vision of becoming one of the greatest motorcycle racers India has ever seen. But life had other plans. When I enrolled myself in the Associates Photography Program at Grand Rapids Community College I quickly realized I had the potential to be a successful photographer. In order to be a more well rounded media specialist I transferred to Calvin College and in 2019 graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Film and Media production.
I really enjoy and excel at automotive and product photography, but my ability to capture objects in natural light and settings is what really gives me makes my work stand out.
The ability to freeze a moment in time is really a super power and should be treated as such but what I really enjoy about my job is being able to bring other peoples vision to fruition. It is a very satisfying experience.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I have done everything from photobooths to weddings and everything in between. Corporate events, product photography, short advertisement reels and even some action sports. I have found that getting to know the client and learning exactly what vision they have for their pictures makes a huge difference. The key is to do this before the shoot begins.
