Sara acquired her Bachelors of Science in Photography in 2012 from the New England Institute of Art. Soon after, she began working with photographers and clients throughout Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire and New York, this led her to becoming one of the youngest photographers on staff for New York’s Fashion Week in 2013.

While successful behind the camera in her commercial work, she desired to expand my depth of knowledge and advocacy in art as a form of social justice. I would go on to finish her Master of Arts in Museum Studies from Syracuse University in 2018, where she Directed one of the University Art Galleries until 2021. Working with artists and photographers on a global scale, she has produced many exhibitions, publications and community workshops in order to promote accessibility for bilingual arts programming.

She relocated to Florida in 2022, where she continues to work as an independent photographer. She works with clients of all backgrounds, and believes creative storytelling is essential to the human experience.

More about Sara F....

What do you love about your job?

I love connecting with people, and learning more about their lives. I try to translate their stories into every session with my clients, creating images as unique as their experiences.

What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?

I try to ensure my clients feel as comfortable as possible. Especially with couples, I give them a few minutes to interact organically with each other before I begin directing their posing. Being photographed is not an everyday experience for most, so I make sure I ease into the process with everyone in a way they can feel their most comfortable. When my clients are relaxed and feeling their best, that's when the "magic" happens.
