More about Simona W....
What do you love about your job?
I love capturing those fleeting moments that may be forgotten over the next couple of years. I love looking through old family photos and snap shots reminiscing about family members and friends who aren't with us anymore and enjoying those memories as if I was living them all over again.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I love getting to know each and every family and client I work with. I have done shoots in the center of Madrid Spain with people all around us and I have done shoots in the intimacy of a home, either way I feel connecting with the client and making them feel amazing and like my only priority is the only thing on my mind when I am with them. It doesn't matter how long it takes I am going to make every effort to help them feel comfortable and happy with the portraits I am providing them.
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
I volunteer for Special Hope: a ministry that serves individuals with special needs and their families through special outings, events, parents' nights, and more! I spend my time documenting these special moments in their lives and capturing those moments for them to cherish for years to come. Though there are no formal awards or honors for this type of photography, I know I am providing something to the families that is far greater than any recognition or award. It warms my heart to know that I have provided something for them that really will be worth more to them than anything else one day.
A fun fact about this photographer
The past 10 years have been a whirlwind, our family joined the Navy in 2010 and it was always a dream of ours to travel the world. In 2013 our dreams came true when we received orders to Spain, though it wasn't as long as we had hoped for, while we were there we were able to travel all over Europe. We were also blessed to be stationed just a few minutes drive to our beautiful Capital, Washington DC and near the windy of Chicago. Along our journey we have been so thankful that we've gotten to see such beautiful places and meet such wonderful people. In 2020 my husband, Jonathan and I will celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary, our daughter's 17th birthday and our son's 9th birthday and we hope our traveling days aren't behind us just yet because we have so much more we want to see and do.
