More about Stefano D....
What do you love about your job?
Photography is art, people, landscape, history and much more. Being able to be part of something that can capture the best moment at the right time is what drives me. I am motivated that each shoot can bring about a new level of creativity and story and I love the diversity to my role that this brings. Working with clients and seeing this same satisfaction when their see their vision come to life brings joy to my work. I like working in a field that makes me happy each day, not only by working with clients but also having the opportunity to continually learn and develop new methods to capture amazing moments.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
Portraits and headshots require me to make people comfortable and relax in order to have that natural look. I usually chit chat about general topics to prepare them for the shoot and make them feel like it is a simple photoshoot taken a little bit better than their phone camera. I usually have a tablet with me to show them what I am doing and let them pick the best result when they are satisfied.
For Real Estate, it is all about capturing a room with the best balance and exposure. Usually, it requires some furniture moving and different angles and exposure.
A fun fact about this photographer
This might not come as a shock, but as an Italian I love pizza. My town, Pescara is known for it’s unique take on a mini-Pizza ‘Pizzetta’. It’s my mission in life to re-create this mini pizza to the standard of Trieste. Every Sunday I make dough, and with the mini dishes that have been passed through my family I try to re-invent this absolutely delicious Pizzetta. Each time I go back to Pescara, I head straight to the restaurant and analyze how they make it. Then return back to Melbourne and try many more times to nail it. 5 years on and I’m still on a mission as it’s not yet perfect.
