What do you love about your job?
I love the whole process. I love the people I work with, I love getting to know them and making them happy, I love retouching them afterwards, adding a little magic to every shot. I chose the best job for myself, that's why I enjoy every day of my life!
Thanks to my work, I have visited 45 countries, I have met the most wonderful people, families, I have helped to capture the best moments of their lives, animals (working as a volunteer for dog shelters), I have visited the most famous events and closed events in various industries, I have received so many thanks and lived so many stories that I could write a book. A book of love for the favorite thing of my life!
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
Every shoot is special! After all, it’s the people who make it this way, the emotions we experience during the process, the stories associated with each participant in the process or with the shooting itself. By revealing a person, we get deeper and deeper looks, more sincere smiles and more fervent laughter. And if this is an event, then it is a combination of experiences, bright pictures, a bouquet of genuine emotions and the beauty of the moment, without staging, as it is! Well, each shoot is a separate little life, because for some time I become closer to people, a friend, a good acquaintance, a kind neighbor who sees the best in you. And for me, the best reward is your happy smiles during the shooting process and when you already see the result in the form of photographs!
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
I never chased awards. The competition never inspired me. On the contrary, I considered it a sign of weakness. It's like people are trying to prove something to themselves. I always loved what I did and I never had the desire to prove anything to anyone. I am sure that the photography should speak for itself! And all awards are just a subjective assessment of some people by others. I can’t think of a better reward than happy clients, their gratitude, their smiles! Each person is unique, regardless of the assessment of the jury or anyone else. If you accept this, then no rewards will be needed anymore.
A fun fact about this photographer
I traveled a lot and met a huge number of people in the most magical places on earth. So, for example, in Indonesia at night I descended into the mouth of the active Ijen volcano (where there was an acid lake inside) and fell into a sulfur cloud several times. It was very extreme, since I had neither a mask nor a respirator. And there I walked along the edge of the volcano, since everything was in the fog. But I took magical photographs. When I worked as a photographer at the oldest film festival in Europe, Tarmina, I photographed not only such stars as Nicole Kidman on the red carpet. I photographed at very famous events, such as Alta Moda (Dolce & Gabbana), where there was a limited number of guests and everything took place in Sicily, on the territory of the temple. I remember many amazing people whom I was lucky enough to meet and for whom I took heartfelt photographs. I also jokingly think that in a past life I was a dog, because I love dogs very much and try to photograph people with their pets.
