Teresa Schaeffer attended The Art Institute of Atlanta in 1999, where she studied Multimedia and Film. With a background in film and videography - as well as writing - she started shooting commercial videos for clients. This led to her working more frequently as a commercial photographer, offering both videography and photography options to her clients. Photography allowed her to become a visual storyteller, creating cinematic and striking images that sell, whether for real estate, commercial photography (for products and brands) or through portraits.
As a writer, screenwriter and photographer, photography allows me to become a visual storyteller. I enjoy the creative process and work extremely hard to ensure that each and every photo I take (and edit) is the best it can possibly be. I enjoy commercial photography because it allows me to showcase brands and products in a super creative light, creating scenes and ambiance. I also enjoy video for the same reason. No matter what your needs are, I always strive to exceed the expectations of my clients.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
Same as above, I suppose. Creative cinematic images for commercial shoots is super fun - especially during certain seasons or holidays. Using props, smoke, fog, string lights, anything else I can think of to really make a shoot unique and super special.
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
I have had many clients provide me with exceptional feedback. This in itself has truly helped me grow as a photographer. After all, the more you work with clients, the more confident you become - which is also showcased in your work.
