More about Tom W....
What do you love about your job?
I love the feedback from parents after a shoot with a child who normally doesn't take good photos, but relaxed and had fun with me. I like bringing out the cool looks and natural smiles in everyone I shoot instead of settling for a cheesy smile.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I have done family, glamour and headshot shoots in addition to events. I make them special by inspiring real smiles and joy in their faces.
A fun fact about this photographer
I am one of 6 children and my dad was an amateur photographer. Every year he took us camping in Pennsylvania and I remember how he would pose us together (4-10 years old) in a narrow white water river. We would sit with fake smiles on while freezing our little butts as he fiddled with his camera for 20 minutes.
This inspired my rule about photographing clients. I never have clients posing for me for more than 3 seconds before I shoot so they don't lose their natural smile. And I avoid saying "Smile!" since I can get real smiles when I say silly things that cracks everyone up.
