I've shooting full-time, professionally, since 2013. My photography career has been mostly self-taught with the help of a few great mentors. Two houses I grew up in planted the seeds for my appreciation of architecture and home character. My parents' craftsman home and my grandfathers' Spanish/colonial home. Both chock-full of details and charm.
Half the fun is exploring new parts of town and getting access to cool homes and spaces. Meeting the people involved and getting to hear stories about the places is exciting. I love when the light is just right. Capturing that light and feeling the magical emotional experience of making a photo never gets old.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
My main types of shoots are shooting homes, buildings, architecture, and commercial spaces. Each shoot gets the same level of care. I am very detailed with my shots, removing distracting objects, staging items if necessary, in order to get the most pleasing image.
