Tracy Riggs captures what you are feeling and produces quality, active images. She is patient and kind, and makes getting your picture taken fun and enjoyable. She knows her craft and consistently creates amazing shots that convey great emotion or action. She has worked for newspapers, in portable professional studios, with stock photography, and has shot weddings, events, portraits, nature, and more. Her main passion is shooting action such as performing arts (dance, theatre, or concerts) or sports, but she also loves the challenge of making a corporate event interesting visually. She is always looking for unusual angles and for the shots that others might miss.
I love capturing that memory that otherwise would be lost forever, especially those moments that others might miss - either because of not having the skill level to catch it or because of not noticing it.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I have done portrait shoots with individuals, couples, and families of all ages. I have captured events - corporate, performing arts, sports, concerts. I have worked for newspapers and have also taken abstract photos and nature or architectural. When I work with people, I always work to make them feel at ease and I really listen to their insecurities about being photographed and work around them. When I work with events, again I listen to what their main goal is and I shoot with that in mind. I look for unusual angles and for the shots that others might miss.
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
I had one of my photos chosen for Lifetouch Church Directories publication to show examples of great work to employees; I have had my photos chosen for newspaper articles and made the front page before - one newspaper issue was almost exclusively my photos.
