I started small, with nature photography. Then on to real estate which I'm quite good at. But my passion has been shooting people.
I've been a photographer & film maker for 7 years. I've shot 100's of short films and few feature length documentaries. I'm a self taught, youtube generation X go getter.
My passion for photography and film falls in line with my passion and connection with human beings. I love connecting with people in a way that makes them comfortable to be themselves around me. Using sub conscious cues to get people to relax, and have true joy in their experience with. I won't just ask for a smile, I'll give you a reason to do it.
I love the freedom I have to express myself with my work. And I love the feedback I get from satisfied customers and people I work with.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I specialize in headshot and portrait work. Making each special again comes to connection. What is our chemistry? Can I get your guard down long enough to just be free and have fun in the moment? Some peoples best shots are the ones they didn't know were being taken. That's why people are hired specifically for candid shoots during events.
To make it special really depends on the shoot, the environment or event. But being able to work with what I have, or if someone brings something to incorporate into a shoot. I very much enjoy being flexible and creating something together.
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
I've won a few online awards for best portraiture, most of my recognition is local though. Have had my shots in local magazines. Nothing too big yet.
A fun fact about this photographer
I used to be a Ghost Hunter. Did it for 10 years, gave it up when I moved here and never looked back.
