More about Wes T....
What do you love about your job?
I’m drawn to the way a single photograph can revive a memory. I’m inspired by capturing others in a light they never knew was possible. And I’m passionate about saving those once-in-a-lifetime moments—so they can be remembered, cherished, and passed on to everyone who becomes part of our story.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I’ve photographed landscapes, portraits, pets, seniors, families, events, and even astrophotography. Landscapes are all about patience—waiting for the perfect light to honor the subject. Photographing people, though, is about connection first and capturing their true moments second. Event photography blends both worlds: it’s as much about the occasion as it is about the people attending. To photograph an event well, you have to understand why people are there—and focus on capturing the meaning behind their presence.
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
I’ve never entered photography contests. I've thought about it though, I’ve always created for the joy of it. I have a lot of accolades, but I’ve never pursued formal awards.
A fun fact about this photographer
I’m left-eye dominant yet right-handed, so anything that requires aiming becomes a left-handed task for me—whether it’s shooting, playing pool, using a bow, or even working behind the camera.
